Maurice has a career spanning 32 years of professional engineering experience; including 6 years in structural engineering design and supervision and 26 years of fire safety engineering experience and is established as a leading expert in the field. With his background in structural engineering consultancy Maurice has particular expertise in the area of structural fire engineering including the use of advanced structural finite element modelling. In recent times he has also completed a post graduate training programme in advanced fire and smoke modelling with Seneca University.

 

 

Luke Fegan Director

BA BAI PDip FSP MA MSc Fire Eng CEng MIEI MSFPE

Luke is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin with an honours degree in Structural & Civil Engineering, thereafter he focused on specialising in the field of Fire Safety Engineering, including a Post Graduate Diploma in Fire Safety Practice and a Masters in Fire Safety Engineering. Luke has 7 years of professional design and site experience as senior Fire Safety Engineer on many key national projects including Lansdowne Road stadium, The National Conference Centre and the O2 Dublin.

 

 

Des Fortune Director

 BSc Eng Dip Eng MSc Fire Eng CEng MIEI MIFE

Des has over 15 years experience in Fire Safety Engineering design and consultancy in Ireland and the UK, having worked on many prestigious projects including prominent Airports, Shopping Centres, Sports Arena, Industrial Complexes, Office and Residential Developments. During this time Des has worked with Arup Fire (Lead Fire Safety Consultant), Jeremy Gardner Associates and  Michael Slattery & Associates.

 

 

Stefan Hyde
 Director

 BA BAI PDip FSP MA MIEI

Stefan has over six years of professional experience as a Fire Safety Engineer on a range of building projects, his experience to date includes 2 years working with Maurice on an array of high level commercial developments including the Anglo Irish Bank HQ, North Wall Quay Development, State Street Bank, Dunnes Stores, and the Cherrywood development. Stefan set up Alpha Fire Safety Consultants and in the following 17 months, oversaw growth of the company that boasts a diverse client book and a series of high level of projects.

 

 

Rory McShane Director

 BSc Eng Dip Eng MSc Fire Eng MIEI MIFE

Rory has over 15 years experience in fire safety engineering consultancy in Ireland and the UK, having began his professional career as a Fire Engineer with Lawrence Webster Forrest (LWF), Fire Engineering Consultants, London, (1996-98), working on a number of major projects which included the fire safety upgrading works programme at the British Museum.  Rory returned to Ireland in 1998 taking employment with Michael Slattery and Associates (1998-01), with responsibility for a range of prestigious developments including the Central Park Office Development Dublin, Westin Hotel Dublin, and Pavilion Swords Shopping Centre.
